The Best Glock 17 Gen 5 Frame

As the fifth generation of Glock's most popular full-size 9mm pistol, the Glock 17 Gen 5 has been a huge success for the company. There are many changes and enhancements between the Gen 4 and the Gen 5, including a redesigned frame design. The lack of finger grooves on the grip is one of the most striking new features of the Gen 5 frame. Unlike previous models of the Glock 17, the grip of the fifth generation has no sculpted finger grooves. Users who complained about the finger grooves or voted for a "neutral" grip prompted this adjustment. The Gen 5 frame has a more robustly textured grip that aids in holding and manipulating the handgun. The Glock 17 Gen 5 Frame consists of major parts that contribute to its high-level reliability, which many love about Glocks.

- Grip: The grip of the Gen 5 Glock 17 frame is made from a high-strength polymer material and features a more aggressively textured surface for improved grip and control. It does not have the finger grooves that were present on previous generations of Glock frames.

- Slide stop lever: The Gen 5 Glock 17 frame includes an ambidextrous slide stop lever that allows the user to easily release the slide using either hand.

- Magazine release button: The Gen 5 Glock 17 frame includes a reversible magazine release button that can be swapped to the other side of the frame for left-handed shooters.

- Magazine well: The Gen 5 Glock 17 frame includes a flared magazine well at the base of the grip, which helps facilitate faster and more efficient magazine reloads.

- Trigger: The Gen 5 Glock 17 frame includes a trigger assembly that includes the trigger, trigger bar, and connector.

The trigger pull weight and reset of the Gen 5 Glock 17 are similar to those of previous generations of Glock pistols.

- Frame rails: The Gen 5 Glock 17 frame includes frame rails that are used to mount the slide and other components of the firearm. These rails are made from a high-strength polymer material and are designed to withstand the stresses of firing.

- Internal components: The Gen 5 Glock 17 frame also includes a number of internal components, such as the firing pin, firing pin safety, and extractor, that are necessary for the proper functioning of the firearm.

The Gen 5 frame has a redesigned ambidextrous slide stop lever in addition to the modified grip. Reloading or clearing malfunctions is simplified by this lever, which can be operated with either hand. The magazine release button on the Gen 5 frame may be moved to the other side of the frame, making it more comfortable to use for left-handed shooters. The Gen 5 frame's flared magazine well is another notable feature. The base of the grip has been enlarged so that a new magazine can be inserted more quickly and with less effort. In high-pressure situations, where a quick reload is essential, this can be invaluable.

Glock's new Marksman Barrel (GMB) is designed to work with the Gen 5 frame, and it has better rifling and a higher crown for increased accuracy. The Gen 5 Glock 17's accuracy and performance have been enhanced by this barrel, as well as the updated grip and other modifications. The Gen 5 frame is a major improvement over previous generations of the Glock 17, which has been quite successful. All of the improvements made to the Gen 5's grip, slide stop lever, magazine release button, and magazine well add together to make for a more manageable and effective pistol. The Gen 5 Glock 17 is an excellent choice for a sidearm for anyone who shoots, whether you're a cop, a soldier, or a civilian.
